I found Romeo Must Die to be an interesting, albeit exceedingly show, movie. I enjoyed watching Jet Li in action; he is one of my favorite actors. He's funny, but not silly like Jackie Chan; he's serious; he can act and he can do martial arts like few others can.

The movie opens with a murder and a dramatic escape from prison. As it turns out, Jet Li is a policeman in prison, the reason is never fully explained, and he breaks out when he finds out his brother is dead.

People are killed throughout the movie for no apparent reason, and Jet Li stumbles upon the daughter of the boss black gangster. Yes, this movie is about a war between a Chinese and a Black gang.

For me, the relationship between the two (Jet Li and the daughter) is completely unbelievable. Well, actually the entire plot is completely unbelievable. The reason I kept watching it was (a) I really like Jet Li, and (b) I wanted to see who was behind the carnage.

There isn't much else to say about this film. it's probably worth watching some late weeknight, but I would recommend you keep your finger close to the fast forward button. If you are anything like me, you will fast forward through about half the movie.
